What Awaits You on a European Tour

Ask any person what his or her dream vacation would be and the answer would definitely be a resounding “Europe”. Everyone from the United States to the countries of Asia wish they could go on a tour of Europe, and that is perfectly understandable. Europe, after all, represents the “Old World”, and has a lot to show for it.

Europe has a lot going for it all kinds of aspects, and it would be great if you can see them all. The architecture alone is more than enough to draw people from all walks of life. Historical places also abound, and will surely overwhelm people who are into the history of the continent and its impact on the entire world.

The country of Italy alone has a lot to offer. It is the country where the Romans, which actually conquered the known world a couple of thousand years ago, come from. Visit the Colosseum, where hundreds, perhaps thousands of gladiators fought to the death for many years. If it’s a romantic vacation, no place on the planet is as romantic as Venice, which is famous for its canals and the gondolas that ply them. If you’re Catholic and you want to be as close to the capital of your faith, then visit The Vatican and take in all the magnificence offered by its buildings and the priceless artwork that is stored there.

France is also a favorite destination, especially those who love a little romance. Not a few people who have been to Paris would say that there is just something very romantic about the City of Lights. It is also a country with a very rich history and culture. It has some of the most marvelous structures that were ever erected, including the Eiffel Tower that will forever be the national symbol of France. The Versailles Palace, the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe are just some of the magnificent buildings that a tourist must visit on a European tour.

There are dozens of other countries in Europe that offer practically the same level of richness in tourist attractions. From Germany to the Netherlands right across the English Channel to the United Kingdom and Ireland, Europe is indeed a dream vacation for anyone.

There Is Nothing Like Sightseeing in Europe

Europe has always been a favorite vacation destination since time immemorial, and for good reason. The continent, after all, is the Old World, where much of Western civilization originated from, and it’s only but natural for us to want to explore those roots a bit. Besides, with everything that Europe has to offer when it comes to sights or attractions, you would be missing a lot if you have the funds for it and yet not go there for at least once in your life.

Europe has so many attractions, both manmade and natural, that naming them all would probably take all of a few hundred thousand words. Let’s start with countries that are detached from continental Europe. The United Kingdom alone is worth a single vacation trip. From the Big Ben to Buckingham Palace, you will surely have the time of your life. Cross the English Channel, and you’ll find yourself in France. For lovers, Paris is certainly the perfect place. Very few sights are as romantic as walking under the glare of the many lights of Paris, with the Eiffel Tower looming in the background.

When you’re both into religion, art and history, few countries can beat Italy. Catholics flock to the country just to visit another independent country within its borders, the Vatican. Aside from actually visiting the world capital of Catholicism, they will also get to see the majesty of St. Peter’s basilica, the Sistine Chapel and the priceless artworks that can be found there. If you love watching movies and TV shows that feature gladiators during Roman times, the Colosseum is not to be missed, not when it was the largest arena of its kind in all of Ancient Rome where people and wild animals actually fought each other to the death. For romance, the city of Venice is perfect, with its gondolas and canals.

Travel further up north and you’ll be in Russia, the largest country in the world. Can you believe that less than thirty years ago, it wasn’t that easy to visit Moscow, the country’s capital and the seat of government? Today, practically everyone who goes to Europe drops by Moscow and takes in the sights of the city, which include The Kremlin, Red Square and of course, St. Basil’s Cathedral.

Visit Europe now if you have the funds and time, and you will not regret it.

Party Rocking In Europe

So you live in a city that has vibrant nightlife, with all those bars and clubs that keep people busy even at the wee hours of the morning. However, many people will tell you that you haven’t experienced nightlife yet if you haven’t sampled the nightlife that the cities of Europe have to offer.

It is said that the city of Barcelona in Spain has some of the coolest bars and clubs in Europe. The people here start their nightlife pretty late, as partygoers start flocking flock to bars and party venues at around one to two in the morning, which is actually closing time for other bars around the world. While other countries close shop at that time, the bars in Barcelona are just getting started.

If underground clubs are your kind of thing, then you best be packing your bags for Berlin, Germany. It is not being tagged as one of the hippest cities in Europe for nothing. For one thing, these clubs do not advertise to draw in both locals and tourists alike. Only people in the know get to find these clubs, and you have to know people who know where these clubs are at so you can get in and have fun. It also pays to know someone there who can guide you to the other hip party centers not only in Berlin, but also other major German cities.

What is the biggest clubs that you have ever partied in and how many people does it hold? A thousand or two? If that is the case, then you haven’t seen anything yet until you’ve been to the Powerzone, a nightclub in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It has a capacity of more than five thousand people. It has a huge dance floor that can hold thousands at the same time.

Aside from dance clubs, the major cities of Europe are also home to many live music venues and karaoke bars, both of which are proving to be quite popular among party-going people. So whether you like dancing, drinking, singing or just enjoying live music, you will surely get the best of what Europe has to offer in this regard as you spend your holiday in this beautiful continent.

Honeymoons Need Not Be Expensive

In this rather cynical day and age, it’s a wonder so many people are still getting married. Even as divorce rates grow higher every year, a lot of men and women still go get hitched.  However, many couples forgo the honeymoon part of the wedding for the simple reason that they can be pretty expensive. In some cases, the entire cost of a honeymoon could be as high as the wedding ceremony and the wedding reception themselves. This is often the case when the honeymoon we’re talking about is one that is set in other countries.

However, giving up a honeymoon seems rather harsh. After all, it would technically be your first trip together as husband and wife, and that has to be worth spending some money for. Besides, if you are planning to have children, then a honeymoon could also be the last chance for just the two of you to hie off someplace else without baggage, so to speak.

You can still go on a honeymoon on a budget. Just downgrade your plans a bit and you’re good to go. While it’s great to be walking down the street of romantic Paris or traversing the canals of Venice on a gondola, we need to be realistic about things when we’re on a budget. So instead of those European honeymoon destinations, why not go for a much nearer lover’s paradise, like Hawaii, for instance. A honeymoon in Hawaii is infinitely much cheaper than going to other countries. However, just because it’s cheaper doesn’t mean it doesn’t have anything special going for it. Hawaii, as mentioned earlier, is pure paradise. The beautiful beaches alone are enough to make anyone fall in love all over again.

However, if it’s Europe or nothing for you, then you can still go on a honeymoon at much cheaper rates. Just for the special travel deals that travel agencies and airlines offer every now and then. These special deals tend to be affordable, which they were definitely not perhaps a week or so ago. They tend to be first class packages that no one bought at regular prices. They sell these packages at lower prices a few weeks later so as not to let them go to waste. If you run into such a deal, then you and your spouse will finally have the honeymoon that you’ve always wanted.

My Name is David

Hi, my name is David, and to keep things fairly low key, I wont be sharing my full time here.  Anyways, I’m a web designer/developer, and have been for the past 5 years.

A lot has changed in the past five years, and there were good times and not so good times.  I finally decided to have a blog where I talk about things or projects that interest me, as well as people and clients that I’m dealing with.  I would expect quite a bit of rant from time to time.

Anyhow, this is good start, at least I finally found the time to get this set up, and going.
